In El Salvador, February 14th is not just a day for romance, it’s also a day to celebrate all the great friends we have in our lives. It’s called the Day of Love and Friendship. One of the things that I appreciate so much about El Salvador is the great friendships that we have developed, and how warmly we have been accepted by so many. Even though we are from another country, our family has been treated with grace, love, and acceptance. We are so thankful for our friends in El Salvador!
Today, I had some fun with my two little “valentines.” My car is in the shop because I was rear-ended a week or so ago and the car needs a new bumper. Since we were home all afternoon, I decided to do some baking with the kids. Here are some pictures:
LOTS of icing…
…and LOTS of sugar which ended up all over Ian’s face!
They were shocked when I let them have cupcakes for an after-school snack, but they enjoyed them!
The kids loved decorating heart-shaped pizzas.
Of course, we had some for Jon and I too!
