The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity as we put the finishing touches on the New Dawn residential program! The new rooms are set up, and all of the new staff have been hired and are finishing up their orientation and training for the program this week.

Now we all take a deep breath as we wait for the kids to move in. So much planning and dreaming has gone into making this program a reality that it’s hard to believe that we have finally come to this point!

We already have one kid walking through the admissions process, and we are excited to share that *Rodrigo is that kid! After hearing his story, many of you began to pray for him, and many chose to partner with us to help make a difference in his life and in the lives of other kids in need.

Here we are all together at the newest chapter of his life, and the lives of the others that will join the program in the coming weeks. We have much to celebrate because a new opportunity is in front of these kids. We will work hard, and pray hard that their time at New Dawn becomes the turning point of their lives.

There is much work ahead of us but we have a great team in place, and great donors partnering with us. What is more, we have a great God who can move hearts, and heal souls, and change lives.

The New Dawn inauguration ceremony was a great time of celebration for us here in El Salvador, but we really see it as something that we can all celebrate together. We want to thank all of our partners for the part you have played in helping us to reach this point!

Un remolino de actividades ha pasado por Mission to El Salvador en las últimas semanas, mientras damos los toques finales a nuestro programa residencial de Un Nuevo Amanecer. Los nuevos cuartos están listos y todo nuestro nuevo personal ha sido contratado, y esta semana están finalizando su período de orientación y capacitaciones para el programa.

Ahora tomamos un respiro profundo mientras esperamos que los chicos ingresen. ¡Hemos planeado y soñado mucho para hacer realidad este programa que hasta nos cuesta trabajo creer que finalmente llegamos a este punto!

Un chico está, actualmente, pasando el proceso de admisión, ¡y nos emociona compartir que *Rodrigo es ese chico! Después de escuchar su historia, muchos de ustedes comenzaron a orar por él y muchos decidieron asociarse con nosotros para ayudarnos a hacer una diferencia en su vida y en la vida de otros chicos en necesidad.

Ahora, aquí nos encontramos todos juntos expectantes del nuevo capítulo de su vida y las vidas de otros que se unirán al programa en las próximas semanas. Tenemos mucho que celebrar pues hay una nueva oportunidad frente a estos chicos. Trabajaremos duro y nos mantendremos orando para que su estadía en Un Nuevo Amanecer se convierta en el punto de cambio en sus vidas.

Hay mucho trabajo que hacer frente a nosotros, pero tenemos un gran equipo y maravillosos donantes asociados con nosotros… ¡Y lo mejor es que tenemos un Dios grande que puede mover corazones, sanar almas y cambiar vidas!

La Inauguración de Un Nuevo Amanecer fue un maravilloso tiempo de celebración para nosotros aquí en El Salvador, pero realmente lo vemos como algo que podemos celebrar todos juntos. Queremos agradecer a todos los que han decidido asociarse con nosotros y apoyar a Mission to El Salvador con este nuevo reto, ya que han jugado un papel muy importante en ayudarnos a llegar a este momento.
