This morning we were really grateful to have the chance to make it to Discovery for a last good-bye, or at least a “good-bye for now.” It was great to see a lot of our friends and to have our pastors Toney and Bryan, and one of the elders, Troy, lay hands on us and pray for us as we head to El Salvador. I love that church and the people there, and leaving is like leaving family. I have missed being there each Sunday since we moved from Cranberry in August, and there were more tearful good-byes as we left today. Well, here we are in MD…Jon is finished working at UPMC and we are living at my parents house for now during this transition time. We are busy with logistics and details for our move. It’s definitely strange to be here while the rest of the world is going back to school and busy with their lives. We are just in a waiting time, and a time of a lot of good-byes. One of our toughest good-byes was August 30th as we had our last Sunday at Discovery Christian Church. Discovery is our family in many ways. We have been involved there since it began six years ago. El Salvador Fundraiser and Golf Outing

If you golf, and you want to play for the kids in El Salvador check out this golf outing hosted by Discovery Christian Church: Join us at Pheasant Ridge Golf Club for a 4-person scramble (scramble means you don’t have to be good). There is an $80 per person fee that includes golf, a cart, door prizes, skill prizes, and a buffet dinner afterwards. You can sign up individually or as a foursome. Anyone can play, so invite your golf buddies. All individuals and teams must pay by sunday 8.30. Individuals, teams and company sponsorships are welcome.
