Five Days and Counting!

Yesterday was a crazy day! Jon spent the morning with some of our friends at the warehouse loading our container. Our stuff has been stored there since we moved out of our house in August, and it was finally ready to go. The guy driving the truck ended up being over three hours late so an easy job ended up taking much longer! But the guys finally got it all done. The container is loaded with our stuff, as well as many donations for the people of El Salvador. Container on it's way to Baltimore to start its oceanic voyage! What a job...here's Jon with all our stuff!
We are so appreciative of all of our friends and family that helped us move and load the container!

Last night we also said a lot of good-byes. At Jon’s mom’s house lots of friends and family stopped by to say good-byes. Saying bye to relatives is hard…it will be awhile until we see them. Saying good-bye to friends hurts too. We’ve been blessed with great friends who have shared their lives with us and now we are going to be miles apart. I hope that we get lots of visitors!

Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to say our good-byes, and as we head to El Salvador on Monday. The country has been devastated this week by flooding and mudslides and there are over two hundred dead, many missing, and many homeless. Just a reminder that it is a hurting country, and a confirmation of why we are going!
