Wow, it’s hard to believe that we will be leaving for El Salvador in less than 48 hours! We fly out of BWI on Monday at 5:45am. It seems like the past nine months since we began this process have flown by! And here we are now with just a day and a half left in the States. There are a lot of emotions going through our minds as we iron out all the last minute details. Stress that we will get it all packed, making sure the suitcases aren’t too heavy, worry that our two dogs will freak out on the plane, uncertainty of how our kids will do travelling. We also know that we will need to hit the ground running when we arrive to find a car and a place to live. Thankfully we can stay at the Mission House that our friends Kurt and Susan Ackermann have in San Salvador until we find our own place. We just really want to have a home again so that we aren’t living out of suitcases forever! We also are, of course, hoping that our container gets there quickly and clears customs so we can move in with our furniture, beds, and the rest of our clothes. All of the preparation is coming together and we are so grateful for all of our friends and family who have supported us and prayed for us to get us to this point. We’re just about ready to go!
