Today Jon had the opportunity to participate in the relief effort for Hurricane Ida. This was a storm that struck El Salvador in early November.  It came at the end of the rainy season, and dumped tons of rain on the country. The hardest hit areas experienced flooding and mudslides. In some places, whole communities were wiped out by floodwaters, rocks, and mud. Jon was able to help distribute food to people in need. Thank you so much to all of you who have made it possible for us to come here and serve the people of El Salvador!

One Response to Hurricane Ida Relief

  1. Enjoy reading the posts and being kept informed. The grocery shopping sounded very frustrating….cannot imagine all those labels in spanish. Gald Jon was able to help with the delivering of food, to those in need….sure that makes him feel good and the people are thankful to receive much needed goods. Keep sending photos and keep us updated. How’s Tori and Ian doing?? Is Tori adjusting any easier?
    take care,
